God breaks through

Those for whom Mark first wrote would recognise that ‘legion’ refers to the Roman army which occupied Palestine, taxed the people and interfered with the Temple. This story gives an example of the dehumanising effect of evil and tyranny on people. The possessed man is transformed into one who proclaims in foreign areas what Jesus had done for him. “Everyone was amazed.” The transforming power of God breaks through in seemingly impossible situations. To whom do I proclaim what Jesus has done for me?
