The twelve

Jesus does not intend to carry out God’s mission alone. Whereas the call to discipleship is a universal call to follow him, he called “those he wanted” by appointing the twelve: “to be with him and to be sent out.” Their primary task is to have a very close relationship with Jesus. Each call is unique. Reflect on your unique call and how Jesus calls you into a close relationship with him. How can I be his hands, feet, eyes, ears and voice today?
