Fulfilled in your hearing

From the perspective of the social groups in Luke’s community, Jesus, in being able to read, would appear to be aligned with the elite. He declares: “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” How, as part of the Christian community, do I bring good news to the poor, release captives, let the oppressed go free?
