In the spirit of Elijah

Jesus resolved the question the three raised by telling them that Elijah had already returned. They then understood that John the Baptist had fulfilled Malachi’s prophecy. He had come in the spirit of Elijah. We, too, must live in the spirit of Elijah. Not as John did as a solitary and a preacher. Both Elijah and John are models for us in a different way. They were wholehearted and single-minded. How dedicated am I to living the Faith?
