The widow’s mite

This story of generosity is well known to us. It teaches us so much about our attitudes to generosity in ourselves and in others. No doubt this poor widow was looked down on by the rich who were probably showing off their wealth as they gave their offerings. How had they obtained their wealth? Were they honourable? Did they give in proportion to their riches? It is not the amount that counts but the generosity that goes with it.
