A sacred place
The idea of sacred places has been with us for a long time. Places to honour our God; where we dedicate ourselves to him; where we can glorify him; where we rejoice and are joyful; places of prayer. Jesus recognised that we often neglect this special relationship with God in our sacred places, replacing it with the ways of the world. He demonstrated the proper way to honour God by returning to his teaching, despite the antagonism of his enemies. Do we respect our sacred places - turning our minds to God and giving him glory?
