God’s love of the poor

Today we hear of two poor widows. Each shows great generosity, despite their poverty. The first one is rewarded by an abundance of food, as God promised. The second, we assume, is also rewarded. God despises the wealthy hypocrites who show off, while ill-treating the poor. He praises the poor widow, who quietly gives all she has. Do we recognise and honour the generosity of those who give, despite not having much?
