Job 19:1, 23-27; Psalm 26; Acts 10:34-43; Matthew 5:1-12

My redeemer lives

The readings today are very reassuring – we know that our redeemer lives; we look forward to entering God’s house; we know that if we follow Jesus’ teaching our reward will be in heaven. As we remember our dead, our loved ones, we ask that they will share in the promise that God gives us – that death is conquered; that God will comfort us; that we need have no fear as we have the promise of the Resurrection.
