Love works

Jesus goes to an important person’s house. A woman with a very bad reputation turns up. We can assume that she was a prostitute whom ‘decent’ people didn’t socialise with, although they may have paid for her services in private. She seeks Jesus out, weeps, anoints his feet and wipes them with her hair. She cares for Jesus with a generous and kind spirit, making the bold and first move. He responds with love and true compassion. It is at our most vulnerable times when our shells crack that light can get in. Today make a bold personal move and take something to Jesus that needs forgiveness.
