Colossians 1:24-2:3; Psalm 62; Luke 6:6-11
Leave him, it’s Sunday!
Many young people and prophets on the peripheries of our church are familiar with this gospel. Observers are waiting to ‘catch others out’ and prove that ‘unapproved’ ways of doing things will lead to anarchy and the destruction of the church. Jesus turned his church and society upside down. He put the needs of people first in his agape-filled kingdom. Jesus set us free to love and serve those in need every day of the week. Think about when you might say “they can’t do that.” Maybe suspend your judgment and ask what does love require now?
