For God, everything is possible

Some days we can feel exhausted and other days disappointment lurks. There are energies in our present society that subtly undermine faith in God, removing God from the centre of our life. When we go about our day believing that we need to achieve this or that, or that it is really all up to us, it is good to remember today’s parable. Rather than simply saying that relying on ourselves alone is useless, Jesus gives us a story of a huge camel trying to move through the slither of space found in the “eye of a needle.” Impossible, yes! So, surrender again, give up the game of being self-made and rely on a loving God, who seeks us with such tenderness.
