Courage, it is me

Some days and nights we can feel as if we are battling a head-wind. Often sleep can be disturbed or it might be that we are waking around 3am, and unable to sleep beyond. Yet Jesus is with us. We can imagine the worst catastrophes, yet Jesus is with us. Our gospel today reminds us that, amidst the anxieties, which may seem ghost-like, is Jesus, the one who saves us from ourselves. Dominic loved the gospel of St Matthew and I am sure that in difficult moments he too drew strength from this passage.
