Open to greater fruitfulness

Our ears hear sounds, but the brain deciphers meaning. Our openness to the Holy Spirit and to growth in faith and life influences what we allow ourselves to understand. Belief cannot be forced. Each person is invited to fruitfulness, yet the way we respond is a complex interrelationship between lived experiences, needs and desires, woundedness and the grace of God. Note that even on good soil, yields can differ greatly. Today we pray for compassion for ourselves and those who struggle with faith. Ask for the grace to be open to the call of God and to greater fruitfulness.
