An open mind and heart
How do you think Ezekiel felt about his uncertainty of success? What about Jesus and his rejection in Nazareth? Have you experienced rejection, being labelled, or misunderstood? Today’s readings share a theme: “if only ...” If only they would listen (Ezekiel)... If only this difficulty would go (Paul)... If only family/friends would get me (Jesus). Difficult relationships can cripple. Have you ever shut someone out, blocking off growth in the relationship? How open are you to Jesus? Pray for an open mind and heart to see grace in daily life.
