The new commandments

There can't be anything much more revolutionary than the Beatitudes, a revolution of non-violence. And they are not just intended for the pious. Ecclesia (Church) comes from two Greek words: ‘to be called out of.’ Every member of the church is called out of their old ways. Now the Beatitudes are the rules we have to keep. They are the New Testament equivalent of the ten commandments. Take time often to ponder their meaning.
