Whakapapa -- genealogy

As a child I recall singing a hymn called ‘Faith of our Fathers (and Mothers!).’ Even though the choice of hymns sung has changed, our memory of all our ancestors who have lived life well remains with us. As we read our family histories and listen to the family stories about those who have gone before us, we are inspired and encouraged by their lives to live our lives well. Let us take time today to remember our faithful departed. “I have chosen you ... to go and bear fruit that will last.”
