Give with a generous heart

We are called to give from our generosity, not from what is left over at the end of the day. We are asked to give with a smile on our face. God’s kind of giving has no strings attached. If we can achieve this kind of gracious giving, we open ourselves to receiving many times over the amount that we have given. This does not mean that we will be free of challenges and troubles in our lives. “We have left everything and followed you,” said Peter. What we receive is something that ultimately is far more worthwhile, for we are told by Jesus that what we will receive is life everlasting. It’s an upside-down kind of world!
