Hope

The psalmist prays that God, in whom he trusts, will keep him safe from the dangers that can beset body and soul. He hopes that God will lead him along the path of life to the fullness of joy that will come from being fully in the presence of God. The psalmist’s prayer is echoed by Jesus’ prayer to his Father on his last night on earth “Father I want those you have given me to be with me where I am… so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.” Try to appreciate Jesus’ prayer for us.
