The risen Christ

When Jesus had fulfilled all that his Father had asked of him, his followers were grief-stricken, bewildered. They could hardly believe their eyes when Jesus appeared to them after he had risen from the dead. Now the Risen Christ, after speaking to his chosen ones, was taken up into heaven. It is not surprising that Jesus’ followers were left standing staring into the sky! Reflect on Paul’s prayer for the people of Ephesus, “May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ give you a spirit of wisdom and perception of what is revealed, to bring you to a full knowledge of him.”
