Letting go

It’s hard to let go. Letting go is part of the cycle of life and growth. We are sad and in pain as we grieve for the loss that is part of the letting go. Jesus understood how his disciples felt when he told them that the time had come for him to leave them. We are reminded of Jesus’ parable about the seed that dies to produce new growth. Jesus encourages us, as he encouraged his disciples, to see the bigger picture. Jesus’ going meant that the Helper, the Spirit of God, would come to help us see into the heart of things and enable us to move from sadness to gladness. “I will send you the Spirit of truth, says the Lord, who will lead you to the whole truth.”
