The graciousness of God

The fact is, we can do nothing to earn the love of God. We are born through, and in, the love of God, whose Spirit sustains us throughout our lives. God makes no distinction between people. The grace of God is freely given. Often we find this reality hard to realise, let alone accept. Our only response is to be grateful. ‘Thank you’ is prayer itself. We need to pause and give thanks for who we are and what we have been given. Only then can God’s joy be in us and our own joy complete.
