Take my hand

Thomas the Apostle needed to see Christ risen from the dead before he could believe in his resurrection. Until he had seen the evidence, he was unable to believe. Nor could he join the excitement and celebrations of the disciples to whom Jesus had already appeared. So when Jesus came a second time to the upper room, he understood Thomas’ isolation from his companions. “Give me your hand, Thomas,” Jesus invited him with gentle compassion. “Put it into my side.” Let us offer Jesus our hand today as we pray, “Lord, help my unbelief.”
