Seeing is believing
Only in very recent times has the term ‘fake news’ become part of our familiar vocabulary. We have become more careful and more discerning about what we believe and especially if the event reported is extraordinary or seems impossible. So it is very understandable that the disciples were sceptical and dismissive of the news that Jesus had risen from the dead. We count ourselves very blessed that we are among centuries of believers who have never seen the risen Christ, but believe. Faith is pure gift. In this Easter season, let us be especially thankful for that gift of faith.
