St Patrick (F)

Jeremiah 1:4-9; Psalm 117; Acts 13:46-49; Luke10:1-2, 17-20

Turn it all around

A negative experience bears great fruit. The young Patrick is kidnapped and taken as a slave to Ireland. In his captivity he turns to God for comfort. Having escaped home to Britain, Patrick believes God is sending him back to Ireland to tell the people about God’s great love for them. He is ordained a priest, then a bishop. His mission still bears fruit to the present day. Was he, like the disciples reporting back to Jesus, filled with joy and the Holy Spirit? How do I feel when I share my faith with others?
