Let’s talk it over

Disagreement at home or at work. Good points on both sides. Through Isaiah, God indicates a path forward: “Come now, let’s talk this over; let us reason together...” Isaiah also sets out a social programme of concrete ways to live out God’s will for us. Jesus observes that religious and political leaders might speak out as servants of the common good, but their actions do not always follow through. Called to challenge those values of the world that are not those of God, we count on the Spirit to fill us with courage and wisdom.
