Faith and reason

Thomas Aquinas is one of the great teachers of the Catholic Church. For him, reason was a divine gift to be cherished and so could not ever be opposed to faith. The harmony of faith and reason, of revealed and natural human knowledge, pervades his writings. That is why we should never stop using our reason to explore our faith. Humbly probing the mysteries of our Faith is what helped to make Thomas a great saint. It is a good and holy thing to do the same – to seek every day to know more in order to grow more like God, to grow into God.
