The Conversion of St Paul (F)

Acts 22:3-16 or Acts 9:1-22; Psalm 117; Mark 16:15-18

From enemy to Apostle

When we first hear of Paul he is a convinced enemy of all Christians. He seeks them out, drags them before the authorities and watches as they are executed. And then, almost overnight, to the utter surprise of everyone, he becomes the most passionate and most dedicated of all the apostles of Christ, giving up family, friends and security to travel all over the Roman Empire preaching the name of Jesus until he is martyred in Rome. Never doubt the power of God’s Spirit to change the lives of those whom you love but who have lost their way!
