Turn dross into gold

“Repent and believe”. Time and again we have heard these words. And yet no matter how hard we try we always slip back into the same bad habits, the same old sins. What is the point then? The point is that God loves us. That is why he sent his only Son amongst us – to save us from ourselves. It is Jesus who will turn the dross of our lives into gold. Not us. Our sins humble us. And being humbled we should gratefully return to our Father. Seeking forgiveness and thanking God day after day is the essence of our Faith.
