Trusting in the dark

How terrible must have been the suffering of both Joseph and Mary as it became obvious that she was pregnant and that the child was not Joseph’s! At the same time what stands out is the total trust that both of them had in God. Like us they had to walk in the dark not knowing what to do. Then God intervenes and Joseph’s dream reassures him that his beloved Mary had not been unfaithful to him. So often we too have to walk in the dark with no idea how God will solve our problems. How deep is our trust in God’s love?
