Being part of the kingdom

Often as disciples we want the kingdom of God to be a perfect realm which will be visibly powerful and all-conquering of God’s enemies. Yet Jesus Christ says it is not like this. All sorts of unwise and imperfect behaviour goes on whilst the kingdom is being established. My job is not to judge others. That is for my King to do. I must look at myself. What sort of person am I? What are my everyday commitments? Can I see God’s hand in them, asking me to make them holy so that they may give glory to God, be part of the coming of God’s kingdom?
