Dealing in love

Love is God’s currency. This is what disciples of Jesus Christ must deal in. Money can be mastered by those who seek it and use it, but love that tells the truth about life often eludes the mastery of disciples even though they follow Jesus Christ. How much money is enough for one’s needs is a vexed question each disciple must ponder. Giving alms is an action which the psalmist speaks of today. And so money is part of discipleship but how big a part and how much to give is always to be considered.
