Knowing better

Sometimes people reach into the past to negate the attempts of those in the present. They use things like ‘tradition’ to stifle or extinguish new flames of hope, ideas and initiatives. They honour actions of past prophets and saints, rather than the living ones.

Jesus is quick to challenge this mentality, especially in those who should know better. He asks us to use our knowledge and faith in God for the building up of the community for our good and the good of others.
