With such a kind and generous invitation to be at the banquet table, how can it not be accepted?

When we become careless with the things of God in our lives, we begin to rely only on our selfish concepts of living that are often blinded by our shame and biases. We become more comfortable in our ignorance and concrete in our actions. Generosity and kindness are therefore seen as weaknesses rather than strengths.

We are offered hope in today’s Gospel and encouraged to accept the invitation, put on the wedding garment – clothe ourselves in Christ and allow our converted life to be full of good deeds.
