Who is my neighbour?

The Gospel today shows us that anyone who is willing and able to keep the law, both of the Old and New Testament, shows themselves worthy of inheriting eternal life.

This universal expression of salvation is a challenging reminder to us that those who belong to God’s people, demonstrated by how they live their lives, are our neighbour and therefore demand of us our love.

And that love may be required of us in situations and in people we least expect.
