A clear perspective

This is a good one – why do you observe the splinter in your brother’s eye and never notice the log in your own? I have found this question useful over the years. It sometimes catches my tongue and at other times turns up in moments of reflection. Sometimes getting a clearer perspective can involve prayer, reflection and having a chat with someone. It’s like putting things out on the table to have a good look. There are always two sides to the story. Jesus encourages us to be gentle with each other.
