Happy Birthday to Mary

Today we celebrate Mary’s birthday. Her birthday in the Church calendar, one of only three birthdays celebrated, sits between John the Baptist’s birthday on 24 June and Jesus’ birthday on 25 December. We can honour Mary today by praying the rosary. Contemplating the mysteries of the rosary – joyful, sorrowful, glorious and luminous – is a way of giving Mary a birthday gift.
