All are invited

This scene, set in Jesus’ home synagogue at the beginning of his ministry, lays out two directions. First, in the reading from Isaiah is the heart of his ministry – the good news of acceptance, all are invited to come and experience the hospitality of God. Second, Jesus’ inclusive outreach meets with resistance and rejection from those who are unwilling to enter into the transformation required. As I listen to Jesus read from Isaiah where do I stand?
