Keeping my lamp burning

Each of us has received a lit lamp to nourish with oil, trim and keep burning. The Baptism liturgy ends with the celebrant lighting a candle from the Easter candle to give to the newly baptised. Is my light still burning? Has it grown dim? Does it need trimming? Do I have a sufficient supply of oil? Or has my lamp gone out? Is the oil 'impure' in that essential components are missing – prayer, retreat-time, rest, study of my Faith, the works of mercy and justice, care for the environment, wonder at the unfolding of the universe …?
