Come and see

Philip says simply to Nathanael, “Come and see”. Philip is confident. If Nathanael meets Jesus, he would come to know that, “We have found him” who was written about by Moses and the prophets. A pattern unfolds in John’s Gospel. Hearing is how disciples are recruited, but not hearing the voice of Jesus. Instead, a disciple already attached to Jesus, invites their siblings or neighbours to “come and see” Jesus. As a disciple attached to Jesus, who are the 'Nathanaels' in my life? Reflect and pray to be aware when to invite a person to “come and see” Jesus.
