Put on our “garments”

Those invited to a king’s feast would be the well-to-do from a common social class. No-one crossed such boundaries. Now the king invites the unimportant and the outcasts. At our banquet of the Eucharist, the inclusion of the marginalised must be addressed. Who is missing? There is a warning here, too, for all Christians. This is a time for the baptised to put on our “garments”. To be clothed with Christ is be clothed with good works including care for our common home.
