Go on ahead

Jesus sends the disciples to “go on ahead” of him while he goes up the mountain to pray. They are far from land when a storm hits them. Their boat is “battered” by waves. “Battered” evokes political tyranny or torment from imperial forces and is symbolic of what will happen later to the Church which is called to “go on ahead” proclaiming the good news. I am called by Jesus to “go on ahead” proclaiming the good news. How do I feel? Am I listening? Jesus comes saying: “I am; do not be afraid”.
