Lord, give me wisdom

God asks Solomon a remarkable question: “Ask me what you would like me to give you”. Solomon, as King, asked for wisdom to tell the difference between right and wrong in what he was doing. The two parables in the Gospel, the treasure in the field and the pearl of great price, speak of the Kingdom of God – growing here on earth, and our eternal living place. If God asked us the same as he asked Solomon, would we ask for the same wisdom – so we can live in his Kingdom?
