Have faith in Jesus

Paul reminds the people of Corinth that being a disciple of Jesus is tough. We are like earthenware pots carrying the great treasure of the life, and death, of Jesus. Upsets and disappointments, dashed hopes and failures come our way, but our faith in him, and what he does for us, carries us. His answer to Mrs Zebedee, mother of the apostles James and John, says as much. She’s doing her best for them, but Jesus calls them to a life of service, the example being his own life.
