Wisdom 12:13, 16-19; Psalm 86; Romans 8:26-27; Matthew 13:24-43

God loves and forgives me

The Wisdom writer speaks of God in very reverent terms – “You are so good, so caring, so powerful, but so lenient in your forgiveness”. Truly, we have a God who loves each one of us. And Paul reminds the Romans that it is the Holy Spirit that keeps us on the right track, puts the right prayer words on our lips, so God hears us! Now look at the first parable that Matthew tells us – the weeds among the wheat. How do I become the person God intends me to be – a good wheat plant among the weeds!
