A useful instrument in his hands

“Does the axe claim more credit for its work, than the person who wields it”? So Isaiah asks, but we might well say, “How silly”! No matter how sharp the axe is, and how soft the wood is, the person wielding it is critical! I hope to be a good tool in the hands of the Lord, but I do need to remember it is he who guides me, gives me the strength and the skills, the determination. And, in thanking him often for this, I do remember – I’m in his hands.
