My yoke is easy

Jesus is well aware that his teachings are a challenge to his disciples. He encourages them, and us, not just by his words, but also by his own example. Yes, at times we are ‘overburdened’ and feel restricted. The yoke of trying to be a good person can govern us, control us, restrain us, or so we might feel. Jesus acknowledges this – but comforts us with his own company and gentleness. Take some time to ponder what are the yokes that burden you? Tell Jesus of each one, enjoying his patience and gentleness with you.
