Jesus, forgive me

Amos is told to go away – his prophecy of doom for the sins of the early Israelites upsets! Jesus doesn’t prophesy doom. Rather, he forgives the paralytic. This upsets the scribes who claimed Jesus was blaspheming! Who was he to say, “I forgive you”? But, just as easily, Jesus said, “Get up and walk”! BOTH are easy for Jesus to say in the context of faith. And so, I have the confidence to call on him – “Jesus, heal me, forgive me, please”! What for?
