Prophets and hypocrites

Which person am I? A prophet or a hypocrite? Who do I take notice of and follow? Today’s prophets are mocked and ignored, much as in Old Testament times - some warn us of the damage we are doing to our earth, others of the destruction of society through abandonment of moral principles and respect for life, others remind us of the existence of God. We can always see how ‘they’ need to change their ways, but what do I need to do in response to the prophets’ warnings?
