The courage to ask questions
Once again, the disciples are plunged into confusion by what Jesus says to them - and that’s not something that they have on their own! We too can be confused by what we hear in our prayer; what we read; what we see in our world - and like the disciples we can be reluctant to voice our confusion to the Lord, perhaps for fear of causing offence. There is nothing we cannot ask God – we don’t have to understand everything (and we won’t) but simply by putting our questions and doubts to God we show our willingness to enter into the mystery that is God’s love for us.
