Leave me in comfort
Sometimes, we can get very comfortable in our faith and in the way we practice it. We like things the way they are – we have a sense of how it all fits together and of how it fits into our life. But as today’s Gospel reminds us, our faith isn’t static or 'complete' simply because it 'works' for us. Like the disciples, we need to be open to growth and to increasing understanding. We need to be prepared to let go of what gives us security precisely so that God can give us even greater gifts.
